Fall

So Halloween has come and gone!!! We didn't do much, just handed out candy and enjoyed some tasty pumpkin beer. I was really surprised there were not more kids out. I was absolutely sure I was going to run out of candy, so A and I got to feast on some yummy Kit Kats, Twix, and Heath bars. Both of our favorites. But with Halloween over, I am quite frustrated with myself, for not having my Christmas shopping at the very least 1/2 done. This whole working really slows me down. I choose to start my shopping October 1st, if not already done so before then. I just hate the crowds and bargain hunters. Trust me I am always looking for a good bargain, but... If I have not finished by Thansgiving, then everything will be sent to my house=)

time flies by

So obviously, I am not staying up on this very well. July was quite awhile ago. So here is an updated on what A and I have been up too. I started work in June. It has been great for the most part. If it weren't for my fellow PT's and OT's, I may feel lost. Everyday I seemed to find a new challenge, either at home or at work. A has been working a lot of overtime, so he is busy. He has decided to continue working on his 55 Chevy Truck, but since the sudden freeze here in Kansas he has not been able to get out there.

What else.... Oh we went shopping yesterday. And I have decided my Christmas shopping needs to be done well NOW!!! The crowd already was ridiculous. But for the first time, I appreciated the usually annoying Buckle employees helping me do my shopping. If I hadn't had the girl's help, I never would have found some very cute dress pants for work. Only downfall, I decided to purchase this really cute layering piece. When I went to wear it to church today, it has a hole!!! DAMN!!! so i will be dragging myself back to the Buckle to hopefully exchange for a complete top. What's left on my list, black boots and black shoes to wear to work!! Any suggestions????

July

Well since it has been forever since I have even gotten on here, thought I would just give a run down of our life in July. I started work on June 22, which has been awesome. Although getting up every morning is for the birds. I have already had some GREAT patients and am learning so much everyday it can be insanely overwhelming. A and I have been enjoying having 2 paychecks for the first time since we got married. We have done a lot of shopping and some saving.

Over the weekend we got to enjoy one of our very good friends wedding's. It was absolutely beautiful. My friend Kimmie and I were the program attendants and cake cutters. I have to say handing out programs was fun, we got to see everyone as they walked, but cake cutting is STRESSFUL. I have done this twice and each time, there has been some cake Nazi, who is freaking out because we aren't fast enough. But at this wedding this cake Nazi offered to help, so I took her up on it and let her cut while we kept the plates full of cake and the table filled. This went sooooooo much better. Even though I complain about the cake cutting, I am so happy that I could be apart of E & K's special day. Love you both=)

Here is Kimmie and I with E!!!

Passed!!!

Well I took my test on Tuesday, June 16 (my dad's birthday) !!! It was literally on of the most stressful times I have ever experienced. The days before the test were horrible and long. I would just wish them away, cause I was ready to get done with the inevitable test. Well on the day of the test, I walk in fifteen minutes early. The lady is not ready and then can't get my fingerprint to work. I was getting more and more nervous. Thinking "oh great this is a horrible sign" right?? Well after about 30 questions in I was finally able to focus. Again it was still hard and I had NO IDEA how I did. Then the next 24 hours were even scarier. So on Wed morning I went over to Aaron's grandma's house to pass some time. We had some coffee and my mind was completely off the test, when aaron decides to check my status of "pass/fail". The phone rings and I instantly want to vomit, well it turns out it wasn't aaron. So I look outside only to see Aaron sprinting after me. I knew at that moment I had to have passed, but of course I had to check for myself. So after I was positive I the computer said passed I called everyone and am still smiling!!! I am still in shock that school is actually over and I get to work and help people!!! Well I start Monday, exciting

BIGGEST TEST OF MY LIFE 2

Well I have been studying for going on 6 weeks, i have to be ready...Right? I am totally burnt out on studying and my positive thoughts are so up and down. One second I am completely ready, the next I am so unsure and ready to just break down. I am trying to push myself, but at the same time not over do this. I really just wish i would get a sign saying yay or nay. Or someone who really knows me and about this test will say "Hell YES you are going to pass!!!"

So I am going to continue to encourage myself and continue working on my positive thinking. After I pass, I am going to celebrate like you wouldn't believe. After I see "PASSED" (hopefully the next day) first I will cry, because I know the stress of waiting will probably give me an anxiety attack. Which I am pretty sure will happen anyway prior to my test date.

Ok so for practice...I am going to completely dominate the NPTE one question at a time!!!!

BIGGEST TEST OF MY LIFE

Well if that doesn't scream at ya I don't know what will!!! I was messing on facebook last night and found that my classmate had received her ATT (Authorization to Test) and was like what the heck. After checking with her I to found my ATT on line. So of course I have been waiting and waiting for this letter and my temporary license. But now that it is here I am excited and nervous. Holy crap I actually have to take this test and pass, along with start working. WOW!!! This is a moment I have been waiting for. Now that it is here....

What is crazy is all night I prayed and prayed that I would do well, and never felt bad. Just would get a warm it's going to be ok feeling. Of course I am glad I am getting this feeling, but at the same time am I being too easy going? I don't know, all I know is I will post when I schedule the test and please keep me in your prayers!!! Also keep aaron in there too, as he has to deal with my anxiety and freak out session on a regular basis. ok..... I will let you know

OVER!!!

Well needless to say it has been a CRAZY eventful week!!! Starting out with a trip to Morts on Monday with some of my favorite PT ladies. Then Tuesday my best friend came to town and we went to her house for a drink and chatted it up!! Then Wednesday we had a party at the director of the PT programs house. The night began at Cheddar's and ended at Cam's with a few beers. Others went to Larry Bud's, but I opted to wait until Sat. to show my face at there. I bought a car on Thursday, and let me tell you I LOVE IT!!! I missed out on some conzuelas, but met up after. Then on Friday, I DID IT, I GRADUATED!!! I am officially Doctor Kristin Diane Ewertz! But still have to pass my boards and all that jazz, but oh well that will come.

Oh i have to add tid bit on the whole graduation, so we show up at 6 to check in Friday night right... And all (I'm talking every graduate and their family's) had to be taken to the basement to wait out the tornado warning. which leads me to another point, it drives me crazy when people complain about safety precautions. If they did not make us go to the basement, and a tornado hits then everyone would sue and blame WSU for their losses. So I say get over it and be thankful someone is watching out for you even if it is inconvenient for you to head to the basement.

Ok on to the party which I will add pics soon. Oh my GOD it was amazing!!!! Adam (my bro) and I are so lucky to have such AMAZING people in our lives. So many friends and family came by to celebrate with us at LARRY BUD'S. Which was an great place to have it minus it being on the east side. They really took care of us as far as I could tell and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I have to give a couple shout outs... Sylvia thanks for coming from Cali for my big weekend!!!! And to all the Gphi's who came by it was awesome to see you and a great surprise to see you all. I love you all and all the great memories we have together. And to MY PARENTS, they are reason Adam and I both made it to our graduations. Thank you for all your support and love we could have done it without you!!!! LOVE YOU. And to my PT people, I am going to miss you all soooo much (you know who you are) Thank you for 3 great years although incredibly hard, it was worth it. I wish you all the best of luck and you all better keep in touch.

Oh and I need to say WOW!!!! I am soooo blessed for everything that as been thrown my way. It has made me who I am!!! Thank you
