maybe the first night

Well Abram, you are laughing all out these days!!  It is precious and I can't help but laugh with you.  You are very close to rolling over, but haven't gone the distance quite yet.  Tonight I have laid you down in your own bed in your own room!  You fell right asleep no questions asked!!  With Corryn, we were in our old house and she was right there.  You are across the house, so mommy just hasn't wanted to move you in there.  So we shall see how the night goes, whether or not I leave you there=)  You are still doing great at Yaya!

Corryn, Yaya started doing preschool activities on Tues and Thurs and you love it.  Apparently you have are making mommy and daddy a surprise...  And you won't tell, you keep saying, "it's a present, so it is a secret!"

Oh here was your corryn-ism this weekend, We were headed out to Colwich to see Grandma and Grandpa Ewertz as well as celebrate multiple Kraus birthdays.  In the backseat you were saying, "Diane Ewertz's house, Diane Ewertz's house."  I said Corryn, "Diane is your middle name.  Your full name is Corryn Diane Ewertz."  Corryn says, "No mommy, my name is Princess!"   Mommy and Daddy couldn't help but laugh=)  You are our little princess for sure

Most of January 2013

Awe the new year, has been interesting all ready!!  We celebrated with the kiddos and some of our great friends the Mear's and Moody's.  We met at Los Cocos enjoyed some yummy dinner and headed to the Mear's to hang out and bring in the new year.  Very calm and very fun.  The kids and I then had a week to enjoy hanging out with Nana and Papa, sending them all off to work and then the following week I went back to work, 1/7/13.  Boo!!! Abram, you did great!!!  You love Yaya, only problem is she got sick and then you and Corryn got to stay home with daddy.  I think daddy might enjoy the stay at home gig=)  So you had 1 day at daycare during mommy's first week back.  I survived, but it was hard to be away from my babies.  The next week we went for Abram's ultrasound to see if his cyst/hydrocele was decreasing in size...  AND IT HAS!!  Yay!!!  The plan is to continue to watch it, but just clinically at his wellness visits.  I was relieved to hear this for sure.  For the 2nd week back at daycare, Abram you stayed awake the whole first 2 days just watching and playing.  By Wednesday, you were exhausted.  But because both kids are congested, no flu as of yet (Thank GOD),  no one slept well, but finally on Thursday and Friday both kiddos slept great and we got to start the weekend.

Abram---at 14 weeks, you are almost ready to role over, you have started to really enjoy tummy time, you are trying to suck your R thumb, drooling like crazy.  You are also pretty darn predictable.  We have found that if you are full, clean and still fussy it is time for a nap.  If we put you on your belly...you crash.  We were watching the WSU game yesterday afternoon and you were watching and watching, mommy turned you over and cradled you.  You fell asleep in less than 10 secs.  Corryn would never have done that.

Corryn---You are really pushing the boundaries and testing us at every step.  We are all learning and adjusting.  You love to color and do puzzles.  The past few weeks have been a little rough, you don't get all of Yaya's attention and have to share your Yaya more at daycare.  You are adjusting, but I can tell it has been a little rough.  you have been saying butt crack and you think it is the funniest thing in the world=)  This morning when it was time for a shower and daddy was trying to tell you something, rather than listen you turned around and started shaking your booty and him saying.."butt crack, butt crack" very hard not to just crack up!!

Love you guys!!!

Christmas #4

Our last Christmas celebration was with the Ewertz's!!  Corryn had a blast playing with her cousins.  They played dress up!!  We forgot the camera, so no pictures.  But it was a fairly quiet evening, but filled with family.   Abram met a lot of his great aunts and uncles for the first time.

Christmas Morning!!!

Ah Christmas Morning, we had decided we will always wake up at our house so our kiddos have Santa come at home.  Mommy was so excited, she woke up throughout the night thinking she heard Corryn get up.  Corryn you were so excited you kept saying, "oohh look at that", "Santa brought toys!!!"  Again Corryn, you were still a little nerves about the bubble wrap but quickly got over it and loved unwrapping all the gifts!!

Tinsel said good bye in a little letter!!

I'm supposed to be napping!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Christmas Eve (#3)

Ah Christmas Eve!!!  My favorite part of Christmas for sure.  We started the celebrating off with church at St. Mark's.  It was absolutely packed, a beautiful and stressful time all at once.  Following church we all gathered at Nana and Papa's.  This is an ongoing tradition that was started long before I was born.  Some of my favorite memories were made at my Grandma and Grandpa Faber's house on Christmas Eve.  I knew I couldn't keep Abram and Corryn in their Christmas attire all night so daddy took their pictures by the tree.  So Cute!!!

Merry Christmas!!

I love my little brother

I forgot socks for the little man, nice huh!!!  Our little hippie

After pictures, it was time to start dinner.  Appetizers were enjoyed by everyone as the boys were outside cooking steaks.  It was freezing, not sure we will do steaks next year...But the steak and potatoes were awesome for sure.  We then headed downstairs for presents and beer white elephant.  We opted to do a name exchange with the adults, which turned out awesome!!.  There was a group email that went out and everyone responded with their Christmas lists in an effort to keep who had who a secret.  I sent out a fake email of Aunt Bec's list with random household things like potatoes, underwear and other funny things.  Nathan thought the pototoes were serious=)
Aunt B and her potatoes!!
Corryn loved all her gifts, we found that she has a fear of bubble wrap...  Not sure when this started, but Andrew opened a gift with bubble wrap and Corryn totally freaked out.  She did not even want to open anymore presents.  Sarah and Corryn threw the bubble wrap away and Corryn was ready to go.  Abram was not as interested but got some great stuff!!
Corryn had asked for rocks and a stick, so her first gift was a small box of rocks=)

Enjoying her new towel!!
We then moved on to our 6 pack beer exchange.  We went from youngest to oldest and rules are similar to the white elephant exchanges.  Always funny here is a new beer that entered the game...

What a great night, we had a blast and both Corryn and Abram love their new toys and clothes.  We are so blessed to get to enjoy so many Christmas celebrations.  Exhaustion sets in for sure but it is always a blast and full of wonderful memories.
