Crafty

So when I had Corryn and was at home on maternity leave, I tried my hand at making headbands.  It was easy and I made a few but Corryn was never a fan of the headbands and I always ended up taking them right off. I am a huge fan of pinterest.  I found a few ideas for wreaths and then went to town.  I made my first Holiday wreath!!!  And here it is

The whole process was very easy and I found a great example and directions from here.  I only had to make one extra trip to the store as I didn't by any small ornaments and needed some to fill in some holes.  So since this went well, I am going to try some other ideas I have been eyeing.

CORRYN~  how to even begin this post...  You turn one year old tonight at approx 2:41 AM.  But about now 8:30 PM one year ago, my water broke and your daddy and i began the crazy journey that was deciding to go to the hospital, labor and finally meeting you.  You are amazing this has been the best year!  You have found your new favorite place in our house.  the cabinet next to the stove, it is empty except for our measuring cups. You fit perfect its the perfect height for standing up.  You haven't taken more than a step, but you are getting close ou can stand for well over one minute.  I feel guilty I haven't kept better track of your first year, but I promise to try harder and take more pics.  We Love to the Moon and back little Lady.

So I looked back in our blog and I really am not good at this, but I am very disappointed that I didn't do a better job.  Corryn you are almost ONE YEAR OLD!!!!  You are amazing.  You are learning new things everyday. You can stand all by yourself and took a tiny step on Saturday 9/10/11.  You know what a dog says, you absolutely love giving everyone kisses!!  You can climb on everything and tend to get yourself caught, today you climbed into toy bucket and set in there for awhile before you realized you were stuck.  You say a few words...Dada, dog, baby, moma.  You got your first ear infection and have healed all up, thank the Lord.  That was  a very rough week for all of us.  This has been a fantastic year we have learned so much and have so much more to learn.  Love you!!!

Well we had a fabulous weekend!! My brother got married to a great little lady, Jamie and we had so much fun. It was the best everything went well with no problems. We are so happy to welcome Jamie to our family. I am going to try and start keeping this up, but we will see as our life continues to be crazy. Moving in 2 weeks and starting a new job in about 3 weeks.

Growing so fast

Well Miss C, you are just growing so fast!!! You weigh 12 lbs putting in you in the 20 percentile. You are 24 inches tall placing you in the 35 percentile. Dr. says that is very good portions. We started you on cereal after your appt on Thursday. Mommy and daddy were excited, but took to long to get it ready. You were starving, so after a few ounces of milk, you were ready for some cereal. You ate some and spit out more. You did seem to get a hang of the spoon, sort of. So on Friday, mommy was ready and got you set up. You did much better and started to get very impatient when mom didn't have the spoon up to her lips. Mommy thought you ate half the bowl, but then you quickly followed with chowing on a 6 oz bottle, so its debatable how much you actually ate. You also had your shots, which you did excellent with. You did cry a little, but as soon as daddy picked you up you were fine.

You have started rolling over from tummy to back. You aren't consistent, but your doing it and just about to go from back to tummy.

You can sit up for about 5 secs unsupported

You have started to suck your thumb, but one thumb isn't enough you feel the need to put both thumbs in.

You have to stick you thumb in your mouth every time we eat these days, bottles goes in and here comes a the thumb.

We can't wait to see what the next month holds.

WE LOVE YOU CORRYN!!!

2011-wow our lives have changed

Well we have entered the new year!! A and I are still the loving the life of parenthood. We are adjusting to taking C to her new babysitter, which she seems to absolutely love. I would say she has her first boyfriend in Brenda's grandson Jaden. He calls her cupcake and just loves to chat with her. He always asks her, "baby you want to talk to me" it is precious!! I am very thankful that we found someone that cares some much for our baby girl. The first two days have been great. C is 15 weeks tomorrow and growing like a weed! Just about to roll over and she talks all the time.

C- Your favorite time of day is morning when daddy gives you tummy kisses. I think you could sit there all day and flirt with daddy. You love your bumbo and any position that lets you see the world. So that makes the mirror another one of your favorite spots. On Christmas, you giggled and talked to yourself for about 15 minutes, daddy was cracking up and we took a video and sent to all your favorite people. You have also found your thumb and love to chew on it, so you may be giving up your pacy sooner than later. We have started letting you sleep on your tummy, and you have no troubles sleeping through the night, which is great for mommy and daddy since we both have to be at work early!!!

Oh and your new best friend, Baylee Marie Blasi arrived on 1/30/10 and you get to meet her soon.

9 weeks and counting!!

As I have said every week, I can't believe I would have a 9 week old!! C you are have been a great addition to your little family. You have been rolling over from tummy to back. You don't do it everyday, but I will come in from your nap and you have rolled to your tummy. You are sleeping through the night, but occasionally deciding you need to wake up at 4:00 AM. Our schedule is improving, but with momma going back to work it is going to get a little rough. Thankfully we may have found a good sitter for you. We are going to meet her on Friday and see what you think and what mommy and daddy think. This morning when you decided to wake at 4:15, when momma was changing your diaper, you started grabbing for your toes!!!! Of course mommy had to show your skills off to your daddy.
